Mike was born in San Francisco, the first born son of an Irish policeman. After his seminary training in high school and college he continued his post graduate studies at Notre Dame, Belmont and Tulane University, New Orleans, where he achieved his masters degree in social work (MSW).

 

After a year in social work, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps. He served as a San Francisco police officer for 26 years, ending his career in the mounted unit.

In 1984, he acquired his insurance licenses and opened his home based agency on a part time basis. In 1998, Mike retired from the police department and has been a full time insurance agent since then.

​

Mike's agency is now rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau. He is authorized by AARP to offer auto insurance and is a member of the Professional Insurance Agents of America. Mike is certified to offer specialty lines, like long term care, annuities, and more.
